Vikings Lose: 3 - 4
The Vikings Varsity Baseball season came to end today with a loss to Battle Creek Lakeview, 3-4, in a district semi-final game. Cullen Hurley opened the scoring with a solo homerun in the first inning. The BCL Spartans came back with a run in the bottom of the inning. The Vikings scored 2 in the fourth when A.J. Corravo and Hurley scored on a Keegan Bradley hit. Lakeview came back with 3 runs in the bottom of the fourth to end all scoring and go ahead, 4-3. Noah Bush and Aidan Klug added hits for the Vikings. The Vikings end the season with a record of 20 wins and 11 losses.

The pre-district game with Battle Creek Central was scoreless in the bottom of the fourth inning, when Noah Bush hit his second Grand Slam of the season to put the Vikings ahead. The team added 3 more runs to win the game, 7-0, behind the 2 hit, complete game pitching of Aidan Klug (10 strikeouts). Mickey O'Dowd went 2 for 3, while Cullen Hurley, Brendan Marsh, and Liam Ennis added hits.
This moves the Viking's season record to 20-10, as they continue the district tournament on Saturday when they face Battle Creek Lakeview at 10 a.m. (at district host Battle Creek Lakeview).

The duo held Quincy to just 4 hits. Schenkel struck out 7, while Klug struck out 3.
